Correct answer: The most important finding is malaria plasmoids inside the red cells and suggested diagnosis is malaria.
Those two leukocytes are neutrophilic and eosinophilic granulocytes of course.
Can't see some of the details clearly, but I do see a couple of clear ring forms trophozoites of Plasmodium species. The one on the top left looks like it may have two chromatin dots. If so, I would say further testing to confirm P. falciparum malaria.
ReplyDeleteHaving just one neutophil and eosinophil from the picture am seeing left me with not much clue. Having normal differential count I think the man is suffering from parasitic infection.

DeleteMy findings are trophozoites of the parasite plasmodium (ring form. Diagnosis wud be Malaria. To me the red cells also are hypochromatic...anaemia too
