IBMS leaders visit Glasgow's new superlab

IBMS President Derek Bishop and IBMS Chief Executive Jill Rodney were given a tour of Glasgow’s new superlab by local Institute members.

The new purpose-built £90 million lab opened at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital was officially opened in November 2012 although it had been receiving samples since April. It centralises a number of services under one roof, including genetics, haematology, biochemistry, transfusion, microbiology, pathology, mortuary services and research.
