Robot Draws Blood - Video

Will this replace phlebotomists?

This robot system can find a vein and place a needle at least as well as a human can.
Veebot, a start-up in Mountain View, Calif., is hoping to automate drawing blood and inserting IVs by combining robotics with image-analysis software.

  2. I do not accept this robot, either as a patient or as flebotomist. Greater profit motive will kill all the human in us and around us. And besides, although robot pulls blood next to him is the person who controls it and what is it a robot? Removing the blood is a small surgical procedure is painless with a warm human word, a cold metal electric robot is a device and not a living being.
It is not just a draw blood it is important to feel the warmth and positive energy that the robot does not have .... and so the robot out of the laboratory and the clinic.
