Peripheral Blood Cell Morphology

Case: 44 years old female from Portugal has reacent history of babesiosis. Her spleen has been removed and she has recovered well. In connection of last control, peripheral blood film was taken and the findings are in the image.

What are the findings?























CORRECT ANSWER: A nucleated RBC, Howell-Jolly bodies, and pappenheim bodies. Normal findings after splenectomy. No signs of babesia.
